Scott Hyatt is an airforce veteran who originally looked into Byrna's products to use while working with his private security company in and around Bozeman, MT. Since the Byrna is not a firearm, it was a great less-lethal option that could be used regardless of the event location or size. After receiving his first Byrna launcher, Scott fell in love with the products and began sharing them with his friends and colleagues.
Scott and Shauna have five children at home, ranging in age from Kindergarten to High Schoolers, so it is important that there is a self-defense product available in the home to product their family. Despite growing up in Idaho and Montana, Shauna has never been very comfortable using firearms. When Scott introduced Shauna to the Byrna, she found it to be a great alternative to firearms for personal and home defense. With the Byrna, there is no reason to hesitate if Shauna or her children are threatened, as it will neutralize the threat without having to determine whether or not more lethal force would be warranted.

Together, Scott and Shauna founded Hyatt Enterprises with the goal of sharing Byrna's products as wide as possible. Safety is not a niche market, and we truly believe everyone can benefit from Byrna's products!
